he told me
it ain't black and white
he said we are
selfish
and selfless
he said we are women
and we are men
at the same time
he wanted me to see
that isn't reason
that brings us to where
we are
its something else
i couldn't
let go
of the two sticks
stuck in the middle of the
mountain
that i held onto
he did
and fell into the air
i heard a splash
i waited
the sticks broke
i fell
and splashed into
the water
